This stacked toy is made from scratch-resistant plastic and comes in 5 bright, fun colors.  The base is non-stick and even an aggressive cat will have a hard time scratching or tearing this toy apart.  It’s surprisingly easy to put together, it will take less than a minute for you to stack each column and load the balls.

Cat’s don’t need high tech toys and this is definitely low tech.  The surface is glossy and lets the balls roll easily across the top.  Every time your cat whacks at the ball, the call and the tray move and your pet has to start over.  The glossy surface also makes for easy clean up, something that is often overlooked by toy manufacturers.

The Upsky cat toy toller turntable is designed to keep the calls moving but to keep them from popping out.  You don’t want to be chasing balls all over your living room, they will stay in the turntable despite your pets best efforts.  The balls are also quite quiet, you won’t have a lot of squeaky sound while your pet is playing with this toy.

There aren’t many downsides to this toy.  It retails for around $11, doesn’t need batteries and is easy to assemble.  Your cat may get bored with it after a while, but then cats do get bored with everything after a while.  If you want a really challenging interactive toy, you can’t go wrong with this great item.

Good cat trees and condos do two things very well.  First, they challenge your pet.  Different levels, hanging toys and crawl spaces keep your cat interested in what they are doing.  Second is the ability for you cat to get away from things.  They may use the hammock, snuggle into the small room or perch on the top level to remove themselves from any hubbub or chaos going on around them.  Even though this is a smaller unit, it lets your cat do all of those things.

Challenge Your Cat!

Even though this tower is only 35″ tall, it has 5 different levels for your cat to explore.  The main level has a walk-through room that is big enough for most cats to lay down in.  A small second level is fun for your cat to jump on while the third level offers them a chance to smack around the toy ball hanging near it.  The top level is a wide perch that will let your cat sit comfortably on while they survey their kingdom.  It is also the access point to a comfy hammock that is a step down.

Most of the tower is covered with a plush, soft fabric that is resistant to tears while offering a lot of comfort.  Two scratching poles are covered with sisal and will hold up to the most determined scratcher.  Two cats can easily use this tree at the same time, there is a surprising amount of space for them to romp around on.

There Are A Few Negatives That We Should Mention

While this is a very good smaller cat tree, there are some things that you need to consider before buying this unit.  It is small, much shorter than many cat condos available.  That can be important if you have a very energetic cat who needs something that will challenge them physically.  Smaller is size means that it is for smaller cats.  Two 18 pound cats will not play nicely on this cat tree.  Some pet owners have complained about the assembly instructions, although there isn’t a whole lot of assembly to be done.  We do agree that the instructions are a bit vague.

Pricing for this tower is reasonable but not necessarily inexpensive.  It will usually retail for around $60, meaning it is a decent value but not a great one.  If you have limited space and only one cat, this might be a very good option.  However, if you have a couple of active, larger cats you probably need to look at a larger unit.

While this is a very good cat carrier for large cats, there are a few drawbacks that you should consider before buying.  The unit is made for bigger pets, meaning that it is a bigger carrier.  If you plan on traveling on an airplane you may find this is too big to put under the seat in coach.  It meets most TSA requirements but it is a good sized carrier.

Prutapet calls this a collapsible carrier but it doesn’t quite collapse flat when you are storing it.  It will take up more closet space than a truly collapsible unit.  It comes with well padded shoulder straps but its size means that it will hang lower and be heavier than other carriers.

Should You Buy This Carrier?

Yes, if you have a large cat (or two medium sized cats) that you need to transport in your car regularly.  Trips to the vet are so much easier with this carrier than with other, smaller models.  If you don’t have larger cats and you don’t travel with them, you can probable save some money and buy a smaller, more portable tote.

Any Negatives To This Cat Carrier?

While this is a tremendous value and we highly recommend this pet carrier, there are a few drawbacks that you will want to consider.  Even though there are two sizes available, this is not a good carrier for a large pet.  Most cats, except for those over 20 pounds, will probably fit fine but dogs might be a different story.  Pay attention to your pet’s size before you buy.
